Norwich City manager Paul Lambert has again been made the favourite for the vacant Aston Villa manager post after Ole Gunnar Solskjaer indicated he did not want to be considered for the role.
The former Celtic midfielder is as short as 3/1 with SkyBet, Betfred and BetVictor to take over in the Villa Park hotseat.
Lambert, who was immediately made favourite after the sacking of Alex McLeish, was returned to the top of the list by bookmakers on Wednesday morning (May 23), hours after it emerged that Solskjaer had pulled out of the running for the position.
Among the other favourites are Roberto Martinez, the Wigan manager, who is 4/1 with Skybet and as short as 3/1 with Betfred and BetVictor, despite turning down the top job at Villa last season.
Martinez has also been linked with the vacant manager's position at Liverpool.
Former Villa midfielder Simon Grayson, currently manager of Huddersfield Town, is considered third favourite, at 5/1 with Betfred and BetVictor and 6/1 at Stan James.
