Patients living with long-term illnesses in Solihull will be able to learn how they can manage their conditions themselves tomorrow.
Solihull Patient Advice and Liaison Service will be running its latest expert patient programme at Chelmsley Wood Library.
The scheme, overseen by Solihull Primary Care Trust, is a new approach to selfmanagement for those with long-term health conditions.
The six-week course has been designed to help them achieve as much control over their physical and emotional well being as possible.
Jill Ashley Jones, the PCT's director of human resources, said: "Taking part in the programme can help patients finally understand that they are not alone and that what they are feeling is not just happening to them."
* Anybody interested in attending should contact Lyn Brogan at Solihull PCT on 0800 783 2894.
