Robert Page, the Coventry City captain, has revealed his joy at making a winning return to the side after a one-match suspension ruled him out of the defeat at Plymouth Argyle.

Page returned in defence for the 1-0 win over Burnley and has set his sights on repeating the performance against Southampton on Saturday.

He said: "It's nice to be back playing again, no-one likes being suspended and thankfully we got the result. We have played Southampton before, we know exactly what they are all about, so it's going to be a tough game.

"It's a nice place to go to play, but if we play like we can at home then it should be a good game."

Page is relieved at shedding the protective mask he had been wearing on his injured face. Page, who suffered a double cheekbone fracture earlier in the season, had been playing in the mask under doctor's orders but was able to play without it against Burnley.

"It wasn't very comfortable," he said. "But it was the last game last week where I had to wear it. So I'm just pleased to get rid of it."
