Robert Page has an outside chance of being fit to play for Coventry City at home to Leicester City on Friday night.
The Wales international defender has returned to full training after sustaining a back injury during pre-season match against Boavista. He had endured a hip operation last spring.
"I was doing really well with the recovery from my hip operation, which was a pretty major one at the end of last season," Page said. "I found myself about four weeks ahead of schedule but I pulled a muscle in my back against Boavista so it has been slightly frustrating.
"It was something and nothing, as well. I went up for a header that I would probably do 20 times a game. I landed slightly awkwardly and just pulled it.
"It was one of those nights, though and I can honestly say there wasn't a single positive to come out of that match. Wayne Andrews picked up an injury, Gary McSheffrey was sent off, I got an injury so, all in all, it wasn't the best of nights, especially a week before the start of the season." n Sky Blues midfielder Jay Tabb will miss out on the Republic of Ireland Under-21s match in Greece tonight after sustaining a stomach muscle strain in training.
