Pertemps Bees captain Ed Orgee is set for a return in the National League One game against Coventry at Sharmans Cross Road on Saturday (3pm).
Orgee has not played for Pertemps Bees since the victory over London Welsh on January 15 when he suffered a knee ligament injury.
But he made a comeback for the Barbarians in their 48-17 win over East Midlands in the Mobbs Memorial Match at Bedford last Wednesday when he came on as a 60 th- minute replacement.
Orgee came through the game with no adverse reaction to his injury and he will step up his training this week so that he can take his place in the squad for Coventry.
"The Barbarians game gave Ed the chance to test his injury and we were delighted that he came through unscathed," said Phil Maynard, Bees' director of rugby.
"We will check him out this week but he should be fit enough to play at least part of the game. I might decide to start him against Coventry."
Full-back Dave Knight is also expected to return to the starting line-up after he was forced to miss the defeat by Rotherham on March 19 because of a flu bug. Knight spent last week playing for the Samurai squad in the Hong Kong Tens.
