A free London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games business awareness workshop will be held in the Midlands this week.

The Black Country Chamber of Commerce will host the event at the Holiday Inn Birmingham on Wednesday 10th March.

The Olympic three hour workshop sponsored by Advantage West Midlands and Business Link West Midlands, is designed to ensure that any UK business that believes it has the potential to provide products or services is given every opportunity to do so.

The workshop caters for small and medium-sized companies who wish to understand how to gain access to the wide range of business opportunities available.

The Government has said it is determined to share the benefits of the 2012 Games to as many UK companies in as many regions as possible.

Speakers will include Olympic tendering expert Phil Gray, a London 2012 expert in CompeteFor a matchmaking portal. He will outline CompeteFor, a free service that enables businesses to compete for contract opportunities linked to the London 2012 Games and other major public and private sector buying organisations.

Delegates will receive a pack with up to date information and CompeteFor ‘Top Tips’ for Suppliers. There will also be information on future events to ensure businesses are kept up to date and able to capitalize on 2012 Games opportunities.
