Luton Town manager Mike Newell is poised to sign a new four-year deal with the club this week.

The Hatters manager has decided to pledge his future to the Coca-Cola Championship club, despite having attracted interest from Leicester, Derby and Ipswich at various times this year.

Ipswich have accepted a player-plus-cash offer from Leeds for 23-year-old midfielder Ian Westlake. The Suffolk side would get fullback Dan Harding in exchange as well as an undisclosed sum.

Barnsley will complete the signing of former Republic of Ireland and Coventry midfielder Colin Healy today. The 26-year-old will sign a one-year deal after impressing on trial at Oakwell.
