Warwickshire County Cricket Club has signed a sponsorship deal with Scrivens.
The optician, which has headquarters close to Warwickshire’s Edgbaston Stadium in Birmingham, will sponsor the reigning county champions for the next two years.
The national chain will sponsor the club’s white championship shirt as part of the deal.
It is the third new partner Warwickshire has signed since the start of 2013, following sports nutrition brand USN and cylinder mower company Allett.
The package also includes branding on the second tier of the club’s new £32 million South Stand at Edgbaston, while members of the playing squad will also make appearances at Scrivens’ events throughout the year.
Edgbaston based skin treatment company Sk:n renewed its partnership as the lead LV= County Championship partners for the fifth consecutive year.
Gareth Roberts, commercial director at Edgbaston, said: “The success and increased awareness of Warwickshire CCC as well as the redevelopment of Edgbaston have opened up new opportunities for the club to work with a bigger pool of sponsors than what we have previously.”
Nicholas Georgevic, chairman of Scrivens Opticians, said: “As a national business based in the heart of Birmingham, we were keen to work with a local sports team with a national footprint so this is a great fit for us.”
