Editor, It’s not unusual when historic buildings and sites are replaced that a reminder of the original is worked in to the new development.
The artist’s impressions of the new New Street station, now festooning the platforms, show these designers are no exception to that practice.
They have designed in the three-metre-high concrete characterless walls we currently have ... so no danger of this development allowing anyone to forget the miserable image of Birmingham the station currently projects.
