Nuneaton Borough moved into the semi-finals of the Birmingham Senior Cup after a 3-0 victory over Wolves at Manor Park last night.

The Conference North side took the lead in the 52nd minute after Martin Riley's challenge on Brian Quailey led to a debatable penalty award. Gez Murphy netted from the spot and four minutes later Mark Noon fired home a low shot to make it two before Neil Moore's header sealed the win.

Tamworth's FA Trophy bid ended in disarray after they went down 3-0 in their replay at Dagenham & Redbridge, having lost goalkeeper Mark Gayle injured and having had two players red-carded.

Gayle, who was injured in the warm-up, had to be replaced on 19 minutes and defender Jimmy Turner took over, seconds after Chris Moore had fired the Daggers ahead from a free-kick.

It went from bad to worse when Lambs striker Carl Heggs, a 36th-minute substitute when Michael Touhy was carried off, was sent off for a second booking 70 seconds after the interval and then Moore and Glenn Southam netted quick-fire goals after the hour mark.

In the Midland Alliance, Alvechurch slipped to a 1-0 home defeat to Loughborough Dynamo, Richard Munday scoring, while Biddulph Victoria boosted their survival hopes by recording their biggest win in two seasons, 5-0 at home to fellow strugglers Causeway United.
