Joe Murphy seems drawn to Walsall. He played for the club while on loan from West Bromwich Albion last season, and now he is doing the same as a Sunderland goalkeeper.
Murphy, the Republic of Ireland international, was released by Albion in the summer, moved to Sunderland, and played for Walsall in the 1-0 victory over Doncaster Rovers last Saturday.
"I enjoyed the game," Murphy said. "It was nice to come back and keep a clean sheet and pick up three points because it was a real battle.
"I thought that we defended well on the whole. We got caught out a few times on the break in the first half, but we put that right and knew that if a chance came our way we would take it. In the end we deserved the win.
"I jumped at the chance to come back here and play regularly. I enjoyed my time here.
"The lads are great and I have so much respect for what the gaffer [Paul Merson] has done in the game. His manmanagement skills are good and he has a talented group of players here who are capable of achieving something.
"Sunderland is a great club but I realise that my opportunities are going to be limited up there."
