A 39-year-old man is being questioned on suspicion of murder after a body was found at a flat in Shropshire.
West Mercia Police said the suspect was arrested on Tuesday around an hour after a man was found dead at an address in Shrewsbury, Shropshire.
The 30-year-old victim, who has not yet been formally identified, was discovered at a ground-floor flat in Lancaster Road, Harlescott, shortly before 1.45pm.
Detective Superintendent Paul Williamson, of the West Mercia Police major investigation unit, is leading a team of 40 officers and police staff working on the murder inquiry.
Mr Williamson said detectives were keen to trace anyone who saw suspicious activity near or at the flat between Monday afternoon and the time the body was found.
The officer added: "I am appealing for any information from the public which might assist us. It's possible people may have been aware of a disturbance or altercation at or near the premises."
