A murder inquiry has been launched after the death of a man who was found injured in a village in Worcestershire, police said.

Robin Troughton, 59, from Longdon, Gloucestershire, died at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham on Friday, almost three weeks after suffering head and neck wounds in Bushley, Worcestershire.

A post-mortem examination has since taken place and West Mercia Police are now awaiting the results of further tests.

A man in his 70s and a man in his 50s were arrested after the incident on April 3 and have been released on police bail.

Detective Inspector Richard Rees, of West Mercia Police, said: "I would like to stress we are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident."
