A 14-year-old boy charged with the murder of a surveyor who was stabbed to death on his way home from a night out has been remanded in custody.

Paul Tanner, aged 23 was attacked just yards from his home in St Paul's Square, Birmingham on March 4.

The teenager, from Ladywood, is the third person charged with the murder.

He appeared at Birmingham Youth Court on Saturday and was remanded in custody to return to court on Friday.
