Police have released the name of a 23-year-old motorist who died in hospital more than a week after his car crashed into a tree stump in Shropshire.
Richard Chetwood, who suffered serious head injuries in the accident on the outskirts of Shifnal, died in intensive care at Selly Oak Hospital in Birmingham on March 17.
Two passengers travelling in the car were also injured in the accident on Haughton Road, which happened shortly after 4pm on March 6.
The local coroner is expected to open an inquest into the death of Mr Chetwood, who lived in the Hollinswood area of Telford, in the coming days, a police spokesman said.
