A motorcyclist has suffered multiple injuries after being in collision with a car in south Birmingham.

The collision happened at about 5.20pm on Monday, outside a charity shop near the junction of Bristol Road South and Rochester Road in Northfield.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said the 22-year-old rider of the motorcycle had received several injuries to his shoulder, pelvis and wrist.

He was immobilised before being taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham for further treatment.

The driver of the car was uninjured.
