The parents of a Shropshire woman believed to have fallen down a ditch have said they are “worried sick” and have appealed for the public’s help to find her.
Tracy Gough, 29, called police from her mobile phone shortly before 10pm on Saturday and said she was trapped down a hole she believed was in the Cockshutt area, near Ellesmere.
Her mobile phone battery lasted only 20 minutes and West Mercia Police has not been in contact with her since. Officers immediately launched a search involving a helicopter and police dogs.
Appealing for help, her mother Mary said: “The whole family is worried sick about Tracy. We just want to hear she is safe and well.
“If anyone has any information about her please contact the police. We are getting more and more concerned as time goes by.
“I’d ask people to please check any area where someone might have fallen and hurt themselves, where they might have got stuck.
“We’d be most grateful if you can just have a look.”
Ms Gough, from Ludlow, is described as a high risk missing person who is on medication, which she is unlikely to have with her, police said.
