Paul Molloy is hoping his friendship with AFC Telford United's management team will allow Andy Jones to remain a familiar sight in Malvern Town's line-up.
Malvern boss Molloy, who had been player-coach alongside Telford's Rob Smith and Larry Chambers in their days together at Redditch United, called in a favour to bring in Bucks' highly-rated centre-half Jones on a short-term arrangement.
Ex-Stourport Swifts player Jones is on the comeback trail after a knee injury, which meant he missed the second half of last season.
"Rob and Larry let me have Andy to get some games under his belt and he has been excellent alongside Wes Joyce at the back," said Molloy. "He is still Telford's player but hopefully we can keep him as long as possible."
Malvern, who secured their first win as a Southern League club in midweek at Chasetown, head to Spalding United in their British Gas Business Midlands fixture tomorrow.
