Worcester pair Richard Blaze and Nick Runciman have retained their places in the 24-man England Under-21 training squad announced by coach Jim Mallinder yesterday.

The Sixways duo are, therefore, in line to stay in the matchday 22 for England's penultimate U21 Six Nations match against France in Perigeux a week on Saturday, March 11.

Also called up is Pertemps Bees' loan player Ryan Lamb, who has impressed in the championship so far this season and came off the bench to help Bees beat Exeter in their last National One match.

Mallinder, whose side have won all three of their games so far, is predicting a difficult match. "Any trip out to France will be very demanding," he said.
