Two corporate finance advisers have merged their firms.

The newly-formed Transcend Corporate Finance consists of directors Ian Aldridge of Aldridge CF and Ian Curtis of Transcend Corporate.

The new company, which will operate out of offices in St Pauls Square and in Reading, specialises in mid-market transactions in the unquoted sector, focusing on transactions in the £2 million - £35 million range.

Mr Aldridge and Mr Curtis are well-known in the corporate finance sector, with particular expertise in the industrial and technology sectors.

Mr Aldridge said: “We are committed to providing a hands-on service to business owners, without delegation to inexperienced and junior staff.

“We are completely independent and work alongside a client’s existing advisers, without conflicting audit or tax relationships. We pride ourselves on giving practical and honest advice.”

Mr Curtis added: “This merger brings strength and depth to Transcend Corporate Finance as it seeks to develop its niche – providing expert M&A advice to entrepreneurs who feel left behind by larger firms.”

Transcend is based at 35 St Pauls Square, home to the corporate pod business centre.

Anne Corstorphine, managing director of the corporate pod, said: “We are delighted for Transcend and congratulate them on their success. Despite all the doom and gloom we have several clients, whose businesses are growing right now and looking to expand within the building, encouraging news indeed.”
