Colin McRae will race his first rally for almost a year after replacing world champion Sebastien Loeb in the Kronos Citroen team for Rally Turkey.
Loeb, this year's champion-ship leader and former teammate of McRae, recently broke his arm in a cycling accident.
Nicky Grist will co-drive for the 1995 champion in the Xsara, which the Scot last drove in 2003. A Kronos team statement said: "Colin McRae has been chosen to help the team, and he is highlymotivated to do his maximum to serve Seb and Kronos Total Citroen's interests."
McRae's last WRC appearance was late last season in two rallies for the factory Skoda team, who withdrew for this campaign.
