Coventry City right-back David McNamee will be out until December following the hamstring injury he picked up in the Sky Blues' defeat at Molineux on Tuesday night.

McNamee was out for a month last August after suffering similar trouble only three matches into the season. Scans yesterday confirmed a 'significant' hamstring tear, which will sideline him for four to six weeks. To make matters worse, Coventry manager Micky Adams has had to look elsewhere for a prospective replacement.

Richard Duffy, the No 1 target, suffered an injury in a reserve match for Portsmouth on Wednesday night and will not be returning to the Sky Blues for a third loan spell.

Marcus Hall is also injured, Stuart Giddings is not quite match fit, while Andrew Whing is not yet free to be released from loan at Brighton. With no full-backs at his disposal, Adams has little option but to play again with wing backs against Colchester in Monday night's televised game at the Ricoh, using Chris Birchall and Jay Tabb.
