MARC-Antoine Fortuné is today set to undergo a medical at West Bromwich Albion, with a view to a permanent move.

The 29-year-old Celtic man, who spent five months on loan with Albion two seasons ago, is expected at the training ground today to complete the formalities.

Targetman Fortuné scored five goals in 17 appearances for Tony Mowbray's side two years ago.

Although he has never been noted for his high return of goals, Fortuné is highly-regarded for his abilities as a lone striker - making him the ideal fit for Roberto Di Matteo's team.

Fortuné was given the option of staying at Albion following their relegation but opted to follow Mowbray to Celtic.

He has scored 10 SPL goals in 32 appearances.

Albion also hope to bring a defensive midfielder to the club during the final days of the transfer window.
