A MAN is recovering in hospital after being repeatedly knifed in the back in a street attack in south Birmingham.
Police said the 37-year-old victim was stabbed three times after being ambushed as he walked near the Woodpecker pub, Oak Walk, in the Turves Green area of Northfield.
Despite his wounds, the man managed to walk to a nearby Indian takeaway, Spicy, where staff called the police for help.
The pavement outside the takeaway on Bristol Road, Northfield, was cordoned off while forensics experts examined the area for clues to the attack.
West Midlands Police said detectives from Force CID, were hunting three men over the incident.
