A man has been stabbed to death near a shopping precinct in Birmingham, police have revealed.
The victim, in his 20s and local to the area, was found at around 5am this morning at Craig Croft, in Chelmsley Wood, with serious stab wounds.
He was rushed to Heartlands Hospital, in Bordesley Green, by paramedics but was pronounced dead on arrival.
A 24-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after he voluntary attended Solihull police station, shortly after the discovery.
A post mortem is due to take place later today.
A West Midlands Police spokeswoman said: We can confirm a man has died after he received a stab wound in the area of Craig Croft, Chelmsley Wood.
We are appealing for witnesses to contact us.
A cordon has been put up around the area, and is being guarded by officers as forensics carry out their investigations.
A post mortem revealed the victim, aged 25, died from a single stab wound to the chest.
