A man involved in an "evil and sick hobby" is back behind bars weeks after being released from jail for making sexually offensive pictures of children.
Brian Parker (57) was arrested as he left Stafford Prison in May and yesterday pleaded guilty to 15 charges of making indecent pictures of children and one charge of possessing 1,432 indecent images of children.
Parker, formerly of Tamworth and now of Grants Yard, Burton-upon-Trent, Staffordshire, also admitted eight offences of distributing indecent photos of children.
Last November, he was jailed for 12 months when he admitted 19 charges of making indecent pictures of children.
Judge John Rubery, jailing Parker yesterday at Stafford Crown Court for 12 months, told him: "You have a master's degree in engineering and have worked overseas. But it poses the question why someone like you should become involved in this evil and sick hobby. One can only have a sense of revulsion."
Alexander Jacobs, prosecuting, said Parker was arrested for offences committed while on bail before his first prison sentence. While Parker was in prison his exgirlfriend and her two sons went to his Tamworth house.
"One of her sons found internet chatroom scripts in which he purported to be a girl aged 13 or 14," said Mr Jacobs.
David Munro, defending, said: "There clearly is work to be done because while there have been admissions he has difficulty in seeing the harm behind the offences."
