A man is in a serious condition in hospital after he was assaulted and stabbed in Telford.
The victim, in his mid 20s, was stabbed three times during the attack, which happened in the Wellington area of the town, at 1.30am on Saturday.
Detective constable Gary Lansdale from Telford CID said: "This is a vicious assault which has left the victim in a serious condition."
Officers have viewed CCTV footage of the incident and are keen to speak to two females seen in the area, near to The Parade, at the time of the assault.
DC Lansdale added: "It was a busy night in Wellington and I would encourage anybody in the area that may have seen anything to come forward. I would also appeal to those responsible for this attack to hand themselves in."
