A man has been taken to hospital after the car he was driving ended up on its roof in West Bromwich.

The accident happened the roundabout junction of the A41 and A4031 shortly after 9.05am on Monday.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “Crews arrived to find a car on its roof. Its driver, a man in his 30s, had started trying to get himself out of the vehicle; that was completed with the help of ambulance and fire crews and the use of a long spinal board.

“He had pain to his back and right hip. He was fully immobilised by the ambulance crews and was taken to Sandwell Hospital for further assessment and treatment.”
