A 50-year-old man has been released on police bail after he was arrested in connection with a shooting outside a £1 million home.
The man, from Wolverhampton, was detained on Wednesday evening on suspicion of possessing a firearm and causing criminal damage. He was released yesterday.
The arrest followed an incident in which three cars parked outside a substantial detached property in Little Aston, near Sutton Coldfield, were raked with gunfire. The family who live at the house in Roman Road were later moved by police to a safe location.
Staffordshire Police spokesman said the man was taken to Cannock police station for questioning about the incident, which happened at 11.50pm on Tuesday.
He said inquiries were continuing.
