A man has died following a flat fire in the Hodge Hill area of Birmingham.
The incident happened at Folkestone Croft shortly at about midday on Sunday.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “On arrival, ambulance crews found a man being given CPR by fire crews after being rescued from a flat fire.
“Ambulance crews immediately commenced advanced life support on the man at the scene.
"Unfortunately, despite their efforts nothing could be done to save the man and he was confirmed dead at the scene.”
