A man has died after he was stabbed during a row in the street in West Bromwich.

The 20-year-old victim, who has not been named, had been involved in an argument with another man in Bustleholme Avenue, Charlemont Farm, before he was killed.

A 21-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and a woman of the same age has been arrested in connection with the stabbing, which happened at 11pm on Thursday.

A West Midlands Police Spokesman said: "The victim, who has yet to be formally identified, was taken to Sandwell District Hospital where he was pronounced dead just after 1am on July 11, 2008.

"A forensic post-mortem will be held in due course.

"A 21-year-old local man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and is currently in police custody where he will be questioned by detectives.
"A 21-year-old woman has also been arrested in connection with the incident."

The scene has been cordoned off by police and forensic officers are expected to be there for much of Friday.
