An elderly man has died after he was in collision with a car in Birmingham on Tuesday morning.
The accident happened on Hazelwell Street, Stirchley, shortly before 10am outside the Co-op supermarket.
The road was closed whilst ambulance crews and police attended the scene.
The 76-year-old pedestrian was taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital, where he died a short time later.
A 27-year-old woman was arrested in connection with the collision and remains in police custody.
Hazelwell Street was closed for a time following the accident but was re-opened in the afternoon.
