A man has been seriously injured in an assault outside a pub near Walsall in the early hours of today.

A man has been seriously injured in an assault outside a pub near Walsall in the early hours of today.

The 44-year-old man is in a critical condition in hospital.

The attack took place at around 12.30am on Friday outside a pub in Chester Road in Brownhills.

West Midlands Police said they are questioning a man about the attack.

Anyone witnesses or anyone with information should call detectives at Bloxwich police station on 08451 135 000
