A Wolverhampton man has appeared in court charged with the manslaughter of a Leamington Spa 17-year-old whose body was found in a river more than two years ago.

Jack Macleod, from Tachbrook Road, was last seen in the early hours of December 4, 2005.

His body was discovered by a police search team in a river in Victoria Park, Leamington Spa, on the morning of January 3, 2006.

Mark Hoolichan, 20, of Stubby Lane, Wolverhampton, appeared at Stratford-upon-Avon Magistrates' Court on Friday morning accused of unlawfully killing the teenager.

He spoke only to confirm his details and was released on conditional bail to appear at Warwick Crown Court on June 16.
