A man has appeared before magistrates charged with causing the death of a two-month-old baby in the Black Country by careless driving.
Kabir Khan, 31, also faces charges of driving without insurance and failing to stop at the scene of the fatal crash in Smethwick.
Khan is alleged to have caused the death of Mohammed Isa, who died in hospital after the Toyota Corolla he was travelling was in collision with a Mitsubishi Evolution on Saturday.
The defendant, of Grange Road, Smethwick, is further accused of driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence and failing to report an accident.
Mohammed's parents and grandfather remain in a stable condition in hospital after being injured in the crash, while a woman who was also travelling in the Toyota is in a critical condition.
Khan was told that he will be committed to Crown Court to face trial and was remanded in custody to reappear at Warley Magistrates' Court via videolink on December 8.
