Man in court accused of £4.5m Birmingham University fraud

A businessman has appeared in court charged with stealing more than £4.5 million from Birmingham University.

Paul Sadler, 49, is accused of the theft from Birmingham Research Development, a subsidiary of the university. Sadler, of Greenhill London Road, Worcester, a former managing director of the company, is also accused of conspiracy to defraud.
