A student has been cleared of helping mug Dwight Yorke of his diamond-studded watch.
Alleged "lookout" Maiur Hirani was said to have teamed up with two other men to attack the footballer in the toilet of a Mayfair nightclub.
But he told the jury that he had been sitting outside the lavatories unaware the Birmingham City striker was being attacked.
The 25-year-old, of Kenton, London, explained that when he saw his two friends fleeing he instinctively followed.
Still on trial is fellow student Rizvi Abbas (24) of Edgware, London, who also denies the robbery charge.
