A man has been charged with sexual assault after a police inquiry into claims that a 19-year-old woman was attacked in the Wellington area of Telford.
West Mercia Police said five other men arrested as part of the same investigation has been released on police bail pending further inquiries.
Detective Inspector John Elcock, of Telford CID, said: "I can confirm that a man in his early 30s has been charged with sexual assault following an incident at a takeaway restaurant in Market Square in Wellington on Sunday, September 12.
"A number of officers will continue to work on this investigation for the foreseeable future and I would ask local people to remain calm and continue to assist my officers as much as they possibly can."
