A man has appeared in court in connection with the seizure of cannabis plants worth thousands of pounds above a Birmingham pub.
Quy Van Vo, of no fixed address, appeared before magistrates in Birmingham yesterday charged with abstracting electricity.
The 33 year-old, who is from Vietnam, pleaded not guilty to abstracting around £9,000-worth of electricity. He was remanded in custody to stand trial at Birmingham Crown Court.
Police carried out a raid on two attic rooms above the Hampton Pub in Great Hampton Row, Hockley on Tuesday.
