A man has been flown to hospital after his arm became trapped in a ‘dumbwaiter” at a restaurant in Warwickshire.
Emergency services were called to Sheep Street, Stratford-upon-Avon shortly after 9.35am on Tuesday.
An air ambulance spokesman said: “We understand the man, who is in his 40s, had had his arm trapped for about an hour.
"We landed our helicopter near the Royal Shakespeare Company.
"The man was experiencing a loss of sensation in his left arm which had been freed from the lift by the fire service.
"The land ambulance crew gave him pain relief and we flew him to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire. He was in a stable and comfortable condition.”
