A 25-year-old man has denied murdering a tank regiment soldier who was shot dead hours after arriving back in Britain on home leave.
Levi Solomon Walker, of Edgbaston, Birmingham, pleaded not guilty to killing Trooper Narel Sharpe, from Smethwick, when he appeared at Birmingham Crown Court.
Walker was remanded in custody. Chervaun Whitehouse (20) and a 15-year-old boy, who cannot be identified because of his age, are both charged with perverting the course of justice in connection with Trooper Sharpe's death. The youth is also accused of possessing a prohibited firearm.
The pair, both from Smethwick, West Midlands, denied the charges and were remanded on conditional bail.
