Former FA Trophy winner Anthony Maguire grabbed his first goal for new club Rushall Olympic to fire them into the Trophy third qualifying round.

Maguire's second-half cracker broke the resistance of neighbours Willenhall Town in last night's replay at Dales Lane and Rushall went on to seal a 2-0 win and earn a tie at Nationwide North title-chasers Droylsden.

After an even first half, the first goal was always going to be crucial and it came on 63 minutes when Maguire, a goalscorer in the 2004 final for Hednesford Town, cut in from the right and curled a stun-ning shot into the top corner.

Five minutes later, Rushall added another goal to savour with Adam Wood latching onto a clearance and volleying his shot into the net.

Chasetown survived a nerve-wracking penalty shoot-out to defeat visitors Kidsgrove Athletic 4-3 on spot-kicks after a 1-1 draw at t h e Scholars.

The hosts had fallen behind to an eight minute penalty from Lennon, but Richard Huckfield levelled midway through the second period. After Chasetown had scored all their penalties, keeper Simon Bryan saved Kidsgrove's last effort and secured their home tie with Hyde United on November 25.

Injury-depleted Halesowen Town's hopes of booking a money-spinning tie at Kettering Town were wrecked at Clitheroe in a 1-0 defeat.

Without top strikers Paul Szewczyk and Matt Lewis, the Yeltz struggled to create many chances at Shawbridge and they were undone by a goal ten minutes from time. Darrell Avery, who had hit the woodwork in the first game on Saturday, was unerring from 25 yards this time and the ball flew past keeper Dan Woodhall.

Tim Nicholls was Stourbridge's match-winner as they upset Southern Premier side Banbury United to reach the quarter-finals of the Birmingham Senior Cup.
