Junction 2 of the M6, north of Coventry, has been closed after a traffic accident.

The busy junction was closed just before 4pm after the collision.

A spokesman for the Highways Agency said it had set up a diversion and could not say exactly when it would be reopening.

Leicestershire police are investigating the incident.
