Aston Villa’s Luke Young has left the England camp after picking up a toe injury.

Young was due to fly out to Seville with the remainder of Fabio Capello’s squad for Wednesday’s friendly with Spain in Seville.

However, it was decided to take no chances with the Villa man, who has returned to the Midlands where his club hope to get him fit for Sunday’s FA Cup tie at Everton.

As expected, Emile Heskey did not train today due to an ankle injury but he made the journey to Spain, where he is expected to play a full part in tomorrow’s session.

Manchester City’s Shaun Wright-Phillips also sat out training today but, like Heskey, it is anticipated he will be involved on Wednesday.

Wolves striker Sylvan Ebanks-Blake was forced to pull out of Stuart Pearce’s Under-21 squad for Tuesday's international friendly with Ecuador in Spain after going down with stomach bug.
