A six-year-old who thought he had won a competition to lead out England at the World Cup has been told he will walk on to the pitch with Jurgen's Germans.
Mascot Louis Moffatt won the McDonalds promotion, met 1966 hero Sir Geoff Hurst and thought he was going to meet his favourite player Steven Gerrard.
Instead, the fast food company has told him he will walk out with the Germans, managed by Jurgen Klinnsman, for their tournament-opening match against Costa Rica.
His father Simon Harris, 42, said: "He is only six and it hasn't sunk in yet. He still thinks the England team will somehow materialise."
Mr Harris entered a Happy Meal promotion.
