Dear Editor, For the last 12 months I’ve read of inquiries, consultations, recommendations and blame sharing – but nothing’s changed.

The kids are still unemployed and the causes haven’t been addressed.

A few ping pong tables won’t solve the deprivation, training courses without jobs won’t solve unemployment, and targeting single mums as scapegoats won’t turn the feral kids into saints.

The trial fiasco of the accused eight has done nothing to appease the anger, so now it’s more inquiries, more paper chasing, and the spectre of unrest hasn’t gone away. While the police fill in for security at the Olympics I wonder how near to civil order collapse we are.
