A Birmingham man has been banned from following postmen after he was found guilty of stealing mail on four occasions.
Mohammed Iftikhar (29) from Ettington Road, Aston, is to have his movements restricted as part of a Criminal Anti-Social Behaviour Order (Crasbo).
Iftikhar was served with the order last week and was also given a four-month suspended prison sentence after being found guilty of committing four mail thefts over the last month.
The order also prohibits Iftikhar from entering the area surrounded by Aston Lane, Witton Road, Tame Road, Lichfield Road, Waterlinks Boulevard, Victoria Road to Witton Road between 6am and 2pm daily, excluding Sundays (except to attend the Job Centre, Aston lane by appointment).
He is also banned from being in possession of any mail not addressed to himself. Iftikhar is also restricted from tampering with letterboxes belonging to third parties and approaching postmen.
