Worcester's relegation rivals Harlequins crashed to the bottom of the Zurich Premiership table as Leeds leapfrogged the Warriors and Northampton Saints following their 21-10 victory at Headingley last night.

Never before will so many clubmen, players and coaches have been reaching for their calculators trying to fathom the parameters that will keep their own team in the top flight.

For Worcester, the Tykes' triumph means one thing. They must beat Northampton in their last game of the season on Saturday.

The risks are too high to contemplate anything else - even though defeat against the Saints at Sixways could still keep them in the Premiership if Quins lose at home to Sale.

Two late tries from Phil Christophers and Andre Snyman secured the points for the Tykes but it could not have happened without a superb performance from their pack of forwards in front of 8,000 baying home fans.
