Mark Cooper has ticked off another three pieces of his jigsaw after securing Lee Moore, James Dormand and Sean Bowles for his Tamworth squad.

Young forward Moore has caught the eye in pre-season after linking up from British Gas Business Midland side Bedworth United. The teenager only broke into the Greenbacks' side last term but has been a real positive in the Lambs' unbeaten warm-up games.

Player-manager Cooper is familiar with the strengths of goalkeeping duo Bowles and Dormand and they will be vying for the No 1 slot.

Dormand had a previous loan spell with Tamworth from Birmingham City as well as at Nationwide North side Stafford Rangers, while Bowles ended last season as the Lambs' custodian. He arrived from Polymac Services Midland Alliance club Coalville Town when Scott Bevan was ruled out in the spring.

Solihull Borough boss Micky Moore has won the battle to sign striker Rory May.

The 21-year-old former Lincoln City professional ended last season with Red-ditch United but Solihull and Southern Midland rivals Stourport Swift were both chasing his signature.

"Rory's a big accquisition for us, he is ambitious and wants to move on, which is something we like because we want players that are hungry," he said.

Former Knowle midfielder Nick Mole has also joined the Damson Park club, while both Gary Moran and Neil Manton have returned to training.
