Motorists may face delays in Birmingham after a number of roads were closed following a drive-by shooting in Ladywood last night.
Police received several reports of a shooting between two cars - a Citroen Saxo and a light coloured saloon - on Ladywood Middleway during the rush hour, at about 5.50pm.
A man in his early 20s was found in the passenger seat of the Citroen with a serious gun shot wound and he is currently in a critical condition at a city hospital.
A number of roads will remain closed until about midday to allow forensics officers to scour the scene near Monument Road.
The closures are at Monument Road, Alston Road, Icknield Port Road and Ladywood Middleway.
